The Anna Stewart Memorial Project is Australia’s preeminent initiative for empowering women to take charge of their union involvement by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to become passionate and effective leaders.
As a participant, you will be equipped with the tools to develop your activism skills and knowledge through specific training, in a safe and supportive environment. The program is designed to ignite a fire within you, motivating you to take what you've learned back to your workplace and union, and to become an unstoppable force for change.
With a strong focus on why women's involvement is so critical for the strength of the union movement, you'll learn about the inner workings of unions and gain valuable training and work experience on key aspects of union organising and growth.
The Anna Stewart Memorial Project is not just about providing you with technical skills; it's about helping you to develop a deeper understanding of why women in unions matter and how you can play a more active role in shaping the future of the union movement.
This project is named after Anna Stewart, a true hero and tireless campaigner for women's rights who dedicated her life to fighting for working women. Anna's legacy lives on through this program, celebrating her unwavering commitment to empowering women and facilitating their important contribution to the trade union movement. Join us in honouring her legacy and becoming a part of a community of empowered, passionate, and unstoppable women who are changing the world, one workplace at a time.
