(Now part of the United Workers Union)
Funded by: AGWA
Produced: Early 1930s
The Australian Government Workers Association was originally known as the South Australian Government General Workers Association, formed in 1906. It covered all state government employees.
In 1981 the AGWA amalgamated with the Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union, making this combined union the largest blue collar union in South Australia at the time.
