MESSAGE
TO
LABOR'S
MARGINAL
SEAT
MP'S:
PUBLIC
SECTOR

VOTE!
16
February 2011
Unionists
will
today
target
the
Government's
most
marginal
Member
of
Parliament
as part
of their
ongoing
campaign
against
the Rann
government's
budget
of a
thousand
cuts.
SA
Unions
Secretary,
Janet
Giles
says
unionists
will
today
rally
outside
the
office
of the
Member
for
Blight,
Chloe
Fox.
Ms Fox
is on a
margin
of 0.4%
- just
167
votes
will be
needed
to
change
at the
next
State
election
for her
to lose
her
seat.
"One
union
alone -
the
Australian
Education
Union -
has more
than 350
members
in her
electorate.
"The
Rann
Government
has
attacked
the
support,
working
conditions
and
leave
entitlements
of South
Australian
workers
- and we
won't
stop
protesting
until
those
decisions
are
reversed."
"We want
local
members
like Ms
Fox to
understand
very
clearly
that
working
South
Australians
are
angry
with the
decisions
and
direction
of this
government."
"And we
will
continue
to put
pressure
on
members
of this
government
until
they use
their
weight
of
numbers
in
Caucus
to force
a
reversal
of these
outrageous
budget
decisions
and
restore
fairness
to
injured
workers."
Ms Giles
says Ms
Fox has
proven
herself
to be no
friend
of
working
people -
especially
injured
South
Australians.
"We know
that she
has
voted to
reduce
the
rights
of
injured
workers,
and has
been
publicly
proud of
that
fact".
"It's
time she
started
listening
to her
community
- or
she'll
face the
music at
the next
State
election".
A Rally
will be
held
outside
of Chloe
Fox's
office,
7 Sturt
Road,
Brighton,
11 am on
16
February.
